According to the Berne Convention a copyright is automatically and freely given to you, the moment you create a work in a tangible form. You don’t need to register your work with a copyright office, or even publish it, to get the copyrights.

However, registering your copyright gives you additional legal protection. This is because you may need to provide proof of ownership (or strong evidence of it) in a court of law when someone uses, copies, or distributes your work without permission.

In CopyrightsWorld you can register your copyright in the easiest way. All you have to do is create an account and get your unique CopyrightsWorld ID. Then log in to your account and follow the next simple steps:

  • Click on “upload files”.
  • Upload one or more files.

As soon as you finish with this process, you will receive an email with your Submission Receipt, and in a few hours another one, with your Certificate of Ownership. That’s all.
